Az előadásról
Hat fiatal mexikói migráns unalmas pillanatait tölti - nincs semmi esélyük arra, hogy pénz nélkül bárhová is eljuthassanak... Gomesasnak az az ötlete támad, hogy dobják össze a maradék pénzüket és vegyenek egy különleges fehér öltönyt. Így mindenki eltölthet pár örömteli órát álmaik paradicsomában, ahol nincs szegénység, se katasztrófa, se nyomorúság... Az ötletet megvalósítják... Mindenki nagyon vigyáz a fehér öltönyre, csak a kiszámíthatatlan Vamenas nem, aki elmegy egy bárba, ahol verekedésbe keveredik, végül egy autó elüti. A fiatalok azt hiszik, hogy a fehér zakónak vége, de isteni csodának köszönhetően az öltöny tiszta és rendezett marad. Az események után, Martinesas nem tud aludni, csak a fehér öltönyön jár az esze és azon, hogy az öltöny vajon be tudná-e teljesíteni élete legnagyobb álmát: Martinesas szerelmes egy fiatal, majdnem teljesen vak lányba. Rájön, a pénznek semmi köze nincsen a szerelemhez... Ha mindegyiküknek lenne fehér zakója és sok pénze, akkor minden megváltozna - elveszítenék a barátságukat, elveszítenének mindent.
About the play
Six young Mexican emigrants are passing boring evenings at home – there is no possibility to go somewhere without money... One of them, Gomesas, has an idea to take the rest of money from everyone and to buy a remarkable white suit – one for six people. In this case each of them would have a possibility to spend a few hours in a joyful paradise of their dreams – no poverty, no disasters, no misery... So, they do it. Everybody must be careful with the white suit – so they are, but they did not trust Vamenas, because he is unpreventable. Unfortunately Vamenas goes to the bar, gets tangled in a scuffle, finally a car knocks him down... Everyone is sure – it is the end of the white suit. But thank God and his miracle – the suit remains clean and tidy. After all dramatic events one of six boys named Martinesas can’t sleep while thinking about that the suit fulfills the greatest dream of his life – he met young, almost blind girl, he was in love with ... He thinks about friendship witch has no connection with money, he thinks – if everyone would have his own suit and have a lot of money, everything would changed then – they would lose their friendship, they would lose everything...
A színházról
A „Palépé“ („a padlás“) Színházi Stúdiót 1999-ben alapították. A színtársulatot Olegas Kesminas és a díszlettervező, Rasa Kriščiūnaitė vezeti.A színház működése fontos része az egyetem kulturális életének. Jelen pillanatban a Stúdiónak több mint 80 tagja van. Az intenzív, komoly alkotások, az együttműködő munka és nemzetközi turnék megteremtették a színház jellegzetes hagyományait és a kreatív atmoszférát. A diákok a Stúdióban nem csak előadnak, hanem szívesen részt vesznek az alkotói folyamatokban is: létrehoznak zenét, darabokat írnak, hang és fény technikusként dolgoznak, Rasa Kriščiūnaitė vezetésével segítenek a díszletek és kosztümök létrehozásában.
About the theatre
Theatre studio “Palėpė” (“The Attic”) was founded in 1999. The troupe is directed by Olegas Kesminas and scenographer Rasa Kriščiūnaitė.The theatre became a prominent center of university cultural life. At the moment the studio has more than 80 members. Intense creation, cooperative work and international tours unite the collective, bring up the creative atmosphere and foster its distinctive traditions. The students in the theatre studio do not only perform; they willingly contribute to the overall creative process: compose music, write plays, work as sound and lights engineers, etc. With the guidance of Rasa Kriščiūnaitė they help to create scenography, costumes and so on.
